Best known for his three circle model of Action Centered Leadership, John Adair, is the regarded as England’s foremost authority on organizational leadership. His belief is that leadership skills can be taught to individuals making his ideas practical and relevant to all levels of management. His overlapping three circle model of action centered leadership has been integrated into corporate culture and management training over the last 4o years.
After studying at Cambridge he became the leadership training advisor and a senior lecturer in military history at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. He went on to become the director of studies at St. George’s House in Windsor Castle, and was later appointed the assistant director of the Industrial Society. In 1973, Adair first published his ideas on Action Centered Leadership in a title of the same name. In 1978, he became the world’s first professor of leadership studies at the University of Surrey.
John Adair is now an author, teacher and consultant to many organizations around the world.
